HOW DOES THE NEWLOOK WEBSITE FIT WITH THEIR TARGET AUDIENCE?
The navigation around the website is quick and easy, it is not too difficult to get to grips with. The menu bar separates the website into nine sections; New In, Women’s, Shoes and Accessories, Maternity, Plus Size, Men’s, Teens, Trend and Sale. This makes it easy for the customer to direct themselves exactly where they want to go.
If they want some items that are new to Newlook’s stock then they can hover over the New In tab on the menu and click on the selection of clothing they wish to look at. If the customer just wants to look at women’s clothes then they can hover over the Women’s tab on the menu bar and can click to look at specific items of clothing e.g. skirts or they can look at all the Women’s clothes as a whole or they can filter their search to their desire; they can filter by size, type, style, colour and brand. If for some reason a customer can’t find what they are looking for, they can use the search bar at the top of the homepage on the Newlook website and just type in what they want to find; this improves the accessibility of the website. As their target market is people under the age of 35, they will want to make their website appealing to this age group. They have done this by the language they use; there isn't too much slang vocabulary and on the other hand there isn't any old fashioned language. They use appropriate language to fit their target audience. |

Also, the buying process is very simple and quick. The process is very easy to understand; you look through the items that Newlook have to offer, select your size, add it to your basket and then check out! If you are a new customer you will be offered to create a Newlook account and this means that they can save your bank details; this makes any future purchases even quicker!
